November women of faith event

An evening event to celebrate Inter Faith Week, for Muslim and Christian women of faith

 

Monday 29 November 2010, 19.00 – 21.00

 

An invitation for you and your friends to come along, share, hear other women’s stories, be inspired, build relationships and celebrate!
Place:  Springfield Centre, Sparkhill, Birmingham, B13 9NY, corner of Springfield Rd and Woodlands Rd

The speakers are Satpal Boyes and Farhat Hafeez on the subject ‘Faith in Practice’. They will speak about how they are inspired by their faith in their work in the community.

 

Satpal Boyes: Education has been a central theme in Satpal’s life, along with a passion for social justice. At present she works as a Coach Consultant supporting nine schools in the implementation of a Social, Emotional Learning programme.  She loves being mum to her two boys and being part of a community where she hopes she can make a difference.

 

Farhat Hafeez: Farhat has a keen interest in interfaith relations. Professionally she started as a paediatrician and has been practising as a GP in the Moseley area now for 30 years. It is her mission in life to care for humanity and to help people in the community. She has two grown up children and four grand children.
